Handyman

A handyman https://mandshandyman.com, also called a handyman, plumber, repairman or handyperson, is someone skilled in a wide assortment of repairs, usually around the house. These jobs are not only seen in houses, but also in businesses, and can be described as either “inside work” or “outside work”. Jobs that fall under the handyman categories include fixing doors, locks, windows, bathtubs, sinks, toilets, sinks, carpets, pool pumps, garden tools, bird feeders, garages, driveways, fences, decking, fireplaces, kitchen cabinets, trash cans, water heaters, washing machines, snow blowers, water systems, plumbing systems, electric wiring, water heaters, home gyms, sheds, out buildings, auto body repairs, etc.

There are many handyman services available in a community, and finding one should not be difficult. A simple online search for “handyman” will yield a plethora of listings. Some of the more popular services include house and home improvement, plumbing, painting, light repairs, auto body repair, roofing, golf courses, landscaping, personal care, pet sitting/pet grooming, blinds, car/motor repair, etc. In addition to the traditional handyman service, there are specialty services such as electronics/electrical, carpet/rug repair, window/ceiling repair, small appliance repair, air conditioning repair, kitchen/breakfast/bathroom repair, bar/ tavern repair, fireplace repair, etc. In short, the handyman does just about any task that you can possibly imagine!

Handyman jobs range from general repairs to specific tasks. General house/home repair tasks include wall to wall carpet cleaning, upholstery, wall to ceiling furniture repainting, chair and table assembly, bathroom installation, basement finishing, kitchen/upgrade installation, etc. Common electrical/electronic installation include wiring, soldering, crimping, cable wire stripping, etc. Carpet/rug repair and installation are another common handyman task. Carpet cleaning is usually not done by a professional handyman since it may be too hazardous if handled incorrectly. Common household/household chores that fall into the repair category are TV stands, ceiling fans, desk fans, ceiling vent fans, etc.

The second type of handyman is the professional/business handyman who does some odd jobs that are necessary but not necessarily unique. For instance, an electrician might perform light repairs, such as replacing a light bulb or repairing a light fixture. An electrician might also perform computer repairs, although these are usually not their specialty. This handyman would then be referred to as an Electrician. If an individual handyman only performs one or two odd jobs, he is known as a Contractor and his services will be different from those of a Contractor or a Trusted Handyman.

The last type of handyman is the independent contractor or business owner. This is often the most common style of handyman and is one of the most lucrative types of handyman work in today’s economy. An independent contractor is someone who works off of his own business or works for a single individual, usually on a small scale. Generally speaking, this handyman is only qualified to do specific tasks, which makes them quite valuable to specific businesses because they can offer a very specific set of services that a contractor cannot do.

Each handyman’s job description is unique and their qualification is specific. There are many trade titles for each trade and many different ways to apply for those trades. Each trade title means different things, depending on what the specific trade is. A plumber is not a handyman or a carpenter is not a roofer or an electrician is not a mason. Each trade only means that the person is qualified to do specific tasks or work for a specific business.
